I have a 2001 Yukon XL and want to drop the bad boy. I hear DJM has the 3"-5" kit and 2"-3" but are there any other kits out there that would do the job. I am worried about have less travel than stock. Witht hat 3-5 kit I believe you only end up having 3 inches of travel.

Any Adivce or reccomendations?

Thanks
Ryan

Ive heard only good stuff about the DJM Kits... That would be your best bet. I don't know if belltech has a kit yet but there website is www.belltechcorp.com. They have an Application Guide there that might tell you.

Hope this helps :)

I'd recomend using the DJM kit. DJM uses a lower control arm in the front. With a lower control arm you will not loose your turning radius like you would with a spindle. The rear uses a shackle/ hanger kit. I used DJM on my truck and have had no problems.

I hate the BellTech Spindles because of that. I could see using them on a regular cab but not on a extended cab. Hopefully One of these days I can change it out.

You could switch out that spindle and put a 2" dropped coil. coils are good becauase they have a stiffer ratting and help get rid of some of that body roll.

Hey SIT N' LOW,

The only problem is I have to find Lower Ball Joint Boots. When I had the spindles installed, the shop ripped both of my boots on the factory ball joints. And Ive heard that you have to buy new control arms (Im not sure about this, someone just said this) to get the boots?? or does the boots come with the balljoints??? Anyways One of these days I will have it done :)
