Hey, I just registered, but have been viewing for a long time. I love the site!
I've put together some kits for Homelink and 2 button dome light for the Silverados and Sierras. Check it out and let me know what you think.

You da man. Thats a nice sight are you gonna start selling them on ebay? Thats not a bad price for the dome light. Does that include all the connectors and everything? Keep up the good work and please try some recruiting for this sight.

Yep, it includes everything. Wiring, instructions and all. All you need is some basic tools and it's easy. The instructions include a lot of pictures and really spell everything out.

If you dont mind, could I have the part numbers for the parts included in your kit? I work at a GM Dealer, so I can get the parts for dealer cost, and I can install it myself. I could allways have the guys out in parts look it all up for me, but it would be much easier this way....Hope you can help me!

By the time you buy all the parts, wiring harness and all the other connectors and stuff to install it correctly (without using the black tape-wire twisting method), you're going to have over $200 invested, even at cost. With my kit you get everything included and instructions. Install will take you about an hour with my kit.
But if you can find a way to do it cheaper, more power to you.
Good luck!!

Thanks for the reply, and why is your kit that much cheaper than I were to get it at dealer cost? Does your kit use GM Parts? Just wondering how you get your parts so cheap if you use GM Parts, I believe you 100% that your kit is cheaper, and chances are i'll eventually buy it from you now.
Just Wondering

I use GM parts, but the wiring harness you would normally buy is a multi-function harness that includes all the wiring for the overhead console. All that wiring can't be changed out easily either because the OHC is put together and melted, no screws. So, you can't get to the wiring for the map lights, that's what makes it so difficult.
I bought that harness when I first put mine in about a year ago and ended up throwing 90% of the harness away, not to mention a lot of money.
I've put together an independent wiring harness for just the homelink using the same connectors and everything. I also include some ties and some other things to make the install pro.
