View Full Version : Changing seats on a 99+

In order to put seats from a denali in my truck all I have to do is remove mine and drop those in right...? If the seats are power and I have manual is there a wiring harness tucked under the carpets somewhere or do I need to buy one somewhere. I am trying to accomplish a custom silvy outside and denali inside and I really like the arm rest that the denalis and suburbans/tahoes have.

well I can tell you this: there is no power harness (for the power seat option) under the carpet on manual seat equipped trucks. Just pulled the seats and carpeting out of my '00 Sierra (buckets with center console) yesterday and only saw the airbag unit located under the driver seat, there is some wiring assciated with that, but nothing else.

Sure seems like there woulda been considering that some wiring for optional stuff is there (compass/temp mirror, trailer wiring). I supppose it is possible that there is something tucked into the sill wire trough - I wasnt really looking for seat wires at the time.

My leather SLE buckets just bolted right in. My buddy did the wiring for me, but I know that there weren't any harnesses under the carpet...we looked! :D

I would love to have a Denali console... :drool:

Now I just have to find them somewhere...I would like to find them local mainly due to shipping reasons it seems to get anything to or from this godforsaken dry hole it cost your first born child....
