Instrument Panel? my "graph/fillup" guages...

Has anyone messed with the older inst. panel, that fill up? I have a 91 and i was wonderin how easy it would be to change the bulbs behind it. Plus, i believe the bulbs are behind little green plactic things that give it the green color. If i was to put BLUE LED's in there, would the blue/green make yellow or something?

Just wonderin if anyone has messed with it.

OR, could i take those green things off.

Not sure how much this helps but i just replaced the bulbs in my 2001 with red ones. It was versy easy and has a cool effect. I did all of the intereriot lights including radio and ac also using otehr methods, looks very cool and cost a total of $10 and about 3 hrs of work

I have the same dash as you and i'm wondering the same thing. Maybe over spring break i'll get around to pullign it apart. I'm tired of that green color...id rather have white...until someday i get some flame guages or something....

I admit, the otehr methods were coloring the leds and mini bulbs with a red sharpie. I also colored the back of all the buttons, its looks totally normal by day but at night its a bright red.
