Does anyone have step by step directions on how to remove my dash for painting? I want to paint the whole thing since it is 3 different colors. Also, how exactly do you paint the vents evenly so they look smooth. I would think runs would be a problem with them.

The gauge cluster has multiple screwa around it, take off all the trim pieces first. Very simple part, you will see all the screws.

Unplug the radio, cluster, speakers and heater controls.

loosen the steering column to make dash removal easier. Take out the shifter arm too.

There are 3 or 4 screws on top of the dash where the defroster blows out and 2 nuts on the bottom of the dash by each kick panel.

Move dash out a couple inches so you can unbolt/disconnect grounds and wiring harness's from the back of the dash.

Pull it out.

Pretty simple, just very time consuming because once you thing you found all the screws and you're free.......you'll find more.

Pulling it is 1,000 times easier than putting it back in! :scared:
