Do you guys think I could get a NBS center console to work (and look factory) in an OBS truck? Has anybody tried it?

Sorry I have no answer for you but I definitely want to know the same thing. That link was to a denali center console, DO you think that the NBS consoles for denalis will be as expensive as the OBS denalis?

Some one has to know!

They're not even close. The only difference is that the OBS consoles were all one piece and the new consoles are about 4 different pieces that you can buy seperately.

The cost difference is significant.

i gotcha, but the one up for auction is all there, so how much do you think a complete NBS denali center console would go for?

i saw another guy on ebay trying to sell just the back piece for 400!!!

I wish I could find an OBS denali center console for $400. If I remember correctly they're almost $3k from the stealership. I'm not sure of the NBS denali console. I think there was a thread that showed the 3 or 4 different part numbers somewhere on here.

The NBS console with the extention up into the dash would NOT fit in an OBS. At least it won't directly fit in there. The extention is too tall for the OBS. If you notice the NBS dash, it has a cutout where the console ifts into it. You could probably make it fit, but I don't know how good it would look. If you want just the center console without the extention, it should fit fine. You would have to modify the mounting bracket though.

While it is certainly not a direct bolt-in it is definitely do-able with a minimum amount of modification. I think it is going to be a very worthwhile mod!!

does your NBS console have the piece that extends all the way up to the dash? If so, can you please elaborate on what is slightly askewed, and needed to be modified.

Thanks

Ryan

Ryan I borrowed one to test fit it. Basically I plan on molding it into the dash. I plan on just taking a dremel to the console and the lower dash facia panel until I have the two of them fairly close to the same shape and then just glassing the gap, similar to how you would do an inside corner on drywall.

isnt glassing the center console to the dash a pretty risky thing. Meaning, what if you ever needed to get behind your dash, you wouldnt be able to really remove the dash bc of the console right? how much shaving do you thing you will need to do?
