I have a rattle in my door which seems to disappear whenever the dealer is looking for it. Last time it was at the dealer they lubed the lumbar support and adjusted the door and it seemed to go away for a month, but it's back. The passenger side shuts like a dream, but the drivers side sounds like a broken bat when you shut it. I would like to remove the rear (extended cab) door panel and take a quick look around. How do you remove these? Any special tools required? Thanks, Dan

I"m not positive, but I'm guessing the new trucks are all similar. On my dad's 98 ext cab S-10, the back door trim is held on by plastic pieces that sorta resemble velcro. On his, you just take off the seat belt holder (probably not applicable on yours) and any other visible bolts/screws, then you pulled the panel off. It's kind of akward, but it can be done. And I don't think there are any special tools needed. Then you just push it back into place, and those velcro pieces hold it in place.

Like I said, I'm not positive that's how it is, but it might help.
