Does anybody have any pinouts for this switch? I'm refering to the mirror switch with the folding option in the center. Basically what I'm wondering is if this switch could be modified somehow to fit an older '99-'02 truck and control folding mirrors. A part number would be a great help as well! Thanks...

I don't think the switches themselves are available separately.
I think they are part of the DDM (Driver Door Module).
The switches themselves are connected to the DDM. They are just simple momentary SPST switches. The wiring diagram consists of switches in the DDM, and the DDM is connected directly to the mirror motors.

Folding is actually controlled by the microprocessor in the DDM. Actually the micro in the DDM controls pretty much ALL the mirror functions. That's why the harnesses for the 03 mirrors are so long, they need to reach the DDM.

It would require complete total rewiring of your entire truck to make the DDM and switches work.

If your truck has the empty pocket where the Auto 4x4 buttons go, you could just put a power folding switch out of an 02 Escalade there. That has all the circuitry required to do folding/unfolding with one button.

Thanks. Is the fold button from a 2002 suburban the same as the escalade? I've got the part number for the 2002 escalade EXT button, and the guy at hte parts counter today gave me the # for hte 2002 suburban button. Different part numbers, and the suburban button is about 15 bucks more. Just wondering if you knew what the difference was?

I wasn't even aware that the 2002 Chevy Suburban had a Fold button. I looked on Ebay and couldn't find one with it, and also looked at the 2002 Suburban owner's manual and no mention of the mirrors being able to fold.

What's the part # he gave you? Maybe it's not for a fold button at all.

Well, the part number the guy at the counter gave me is one we ran across while I was looking for another part. The number the computer spit at us is 15062588, and it lists that as

15062588 $56.89
2002 - Suburban - Interior trim - Switch - Folding mirror
Folding mirror 2002

Now, I've talked with the parts guy at the local Caddy dealer, and he gave me the part number for the folding mirror switch for the '02 Escalade EXT (mounts in dash). That number is 15045085
Unfortunatly, I'm going to have to order it to verify that really is what is says it is.

GMPartsdirect and partszoneonline cut the cost of the "suburban" switch to around $30, so I might order it too, see what arrives. I'm going to keep looking into it though.
