my buddy has a NBS RCSB, and we were discussing trucks in general, when i stated the missing armrests in these trucks. so after some eyeballing, we decided to make his center section into an armrest. here's what we did
removed the seat from the truck. partially removed the cover on the lower part, and removed the cover from the upper part. then using a grinder, cut the two steel pipes off where the distance between them is wider(you'll have to kinda eyeball to get the right spot). after inspection, we decided to turn the now seperate top piece over, so that the former front of the seat back was facing up when the section is in arm rest position. this way, the covering that shows when the armrest is down matches the other seats. though the project isn't finished just yet, we plan to hinge the thing so it will fold up and down
