I was riding in my bud's 97 tahoe the other day with bucket full power leather seats and I was really comfortable, If I managed to rescue a set from a junkyard would they bolt in to a '96 Regular cab truck with a bench seat with the fold down console?

I'm kind of concerned with clearance of the wall behind the seat as it seems the seat sits back a little further in the 'hoe than in my pickup..

Did the leather come in burgundy?

ive got some buckets from a tahoe in my truck now. Your going to need to drill a few holes for the inner brackets but other than that they should fit fine. not sure if i have ever seen burgandy leather

Are you any closer to the steering wheel, or do you still have plenty of space. (I have long legs..)

well i havent actually ever driven this truck sadly enough... its been apart in the garage since the day that I bought it almost 8 months ago now:banghead:
Just from sittin in it I can tell you that its about the same as my buckets in my ss. I think that almost all buckets will move you a little closer to the steering wheel. I think that the tahoe buckets are the same buckets that came in the pickups for those years so it cant be that bad

I think you'd be fine as long as you don't recline the seats too far back. I think that's where you'd run into problems with a regular cab.

I'm getting ready to do the same thing to mine. I got a set of seats out of a pre-94 pickup. If you get the seats out of a pickup (most likely an extended cab), look out for the lower brackets on the passenger side. They will work, but the brackets are longer so the seat can slide when people climb in and out. Not a big difference, but I don't want them in there. More wires and springs and crap to break, and one extra hole to drill. I'm gonna start searching for a new set of brackets for the passenger side.

But if you get Tahoe seats, they will bolt right up to the outside holes. Just have to drill the inside ones. Doesn't seem hard at all.

The console will also work from the Tahoe, but does take some modifications. I'm getting ready to do it, so if you have any questions, PM me.
