I am trying to figure out which are best for the gauge LEDs. Are the 4 LED bulbs to bright? Are the single LED bulbs bright enough? I am trying to avoid having any visual hot spots.

Also on the heater control lighting, I have not seen anyone mention the #74 LEDs that superbrightled offers. Are these new? Does anyone know if the #74 with out the twist in base will fit or are they to long? They look like they would be longer than the bulbs I have replaced in the past.

Thanks for the help.

I tried the singles. They weren't nearly bright enough. The 4s are very nice. Even if they were too bright for you, you have a dimmer switch. Yes, it works with the LEDs just like normal. I'm probably going to upgrade to the 6s sometime.

I've mentioned them very recently.

Yes.

Yes, they'll fit just fine. They're the same things as the #74s with the bases, only you're not paying for the bases.

They are a little longer than the bulbs, but they work just fine.

My singles don't really dim up or down with the dimmer switch  Is it because they are so dim from the get go???

Thanks. I'll give the 4 LED bulbs a try.

Hey 1badgmc,

Thanks for all the help with the interior lights for my 97 yukon. I've ordered a full set from superbrightleds.com. My buddy's got an 98 s10. Do you happen to know which interior lights his truck uses? guages, dome, courtesy lights?

Anytime.

I'm willing to bet that his S10 will use the same bulbs and quantities as our trucks do.

Just to verify a couple other things.

6 bulbs for back of gauges?

4 bulbs for back of heater control?

I have 2 LED bulbs in the doors and under the dash now. Would the 4 LED or single LED bulbs cast a wider light spot than the 2 LED bulbs?

Yes, unless you want to change the color of the indicator lights on the a/c and recirculate buttons, then you'll need 6.

I have singles in all those on the Yukon combined with festoons in the overhead courtesy lights, and they work just fine.
