has anybody put vinyal floor covering in thier truck. i put alot of wear and tear on my obs reg cab carpet from hunting and offroading and i really want to switch out the carpet and put in vinyal since i can just hose it off to clean it. but ive heard its a pain to install unless you get it done professionaly. also is there a kit you can order that is pre cut so that it just drops in. i was thinking about ordering a factory gm vinyal covering but i cant seem to locate them. any replys would be greatly appreciated. thanks

i might take one of u guys up on your offer cuz i was lokking throuh the jc whitney catalog and found a nifty floor covering for $99 but i know a guy who bought one and he said that it doesnt even come pre trimmed or fitted and its a pain in the a$$ to install. my truck is a reg cab with an automatic tranny and with the 4 wheel drive shifter on the floor and i have a 40/60 split bench. if one of u guys has a black covering that is in very good shape and will fit with whats listed above with no mods i defenitly might be interested to work out something.

you should just rhino line the floor of your cab. me and my friend did it to his nissan and its great at the desrt/ offroading. you just spray it down

You might want to think twice about that. Your truck DOESN'T have drain holes in it. So what happens is you spray the inside down and the muddy water runs out over the sill plates and guess what, the water that is left in and around the sill plate evaporates and leaves a nice layer of dirt. Do this enough times and the sill plate and sides of the cab become totally filled with
dirt. I know I bought a truck with the rubber mat and when I removed it for carpet, both sides of the cab that normally dip down were filled to the top edge of the floor with solid dirt. Also the cable track on the drivers side was completely packed with dirt. Personally I would use some of the catch all mats. Really nice mats with a lip all around them that will collect and hold all kinds of mud and water. Just remove and clean and all is good.

again, we did it to his NISSAN!!! I understand totally what you mean, bro, but when it comes to his 700 dollar nissan, he doesnt really care. If it were my daily driver, i wouldnt do it at all, but maybee for a toy. thanks for the comments, though. it is true

I rhino lined the inside of mine and then put floor matts down. Works perfectlly, and I live in alaska, so in the winter I drag a LOT of crap into it.
