do any of you guys know what goes where... my window was frozen and i forced it like usual and the handle turned and the window didn't come down... so i took the door panel out and there a 3 cables loose at the bottom and it looks like the window regulator is the problem ... do any of you have any pictures of what it's suposed to look like in there?? is there a hayne's repair manual for the NBS ?? need help... thanks in advance

i don't think i need new one's ... just need to know how to reinstall the cables inside.... don't know where they go... can't find info anywhere... i ordered the hayne's repair manual for the truck but i dought that's in the book.... they called today and said it's going to take a week before i get it.... in the meantime my window keeps going down while i drive arrgggg

If the cable is broken, you're supposed to replace the entire regulator assembly.

I've heard of people buying cable from the hardware store and making it work, but GM intends for the entire assembly to be replaced.

well got the wrenches out and took it all appart... well cable is junk... so 143$ later new window regulator from our friendly GM dealer... installed it and presto.. thing was that with the wear and tear the cables got tangled... ( really have to see it to understand ) from what i figured if the window is hard to turn up or down, find what's wrong don't force it!! it's too fragile... it will just unhook one of the cables and after that the tangling begins..


also i will be taking the regulator out at least twice a year to grease up the regulator.... maybee make it last longer

$143!!!! That's more than the POWER window regulator!!!

Ya shoulda took mine, I could have saved you around $133. :read:

Now they're just gonna have to take a trip to the dumpster.
