what is that piece called that when u open the door it makes the interior lights go on and same thing when u turn it off the lights go off.

it's a pin on the side of the dash

The GM parts catalog calls it a door jamb switch.

ok i just went accross to the dealership and i bought 2
part # 088891785 $5.13 each
it's just called switch:D

another question how do i remove them and put it back?:think:

I believe you just pull it straight out, unplug it, plug the new one in and it SHOULD pop back into place.

yes sir..when i removed my dash i unplgged it from behind the dash and it pulled out..well more or lesss..you have to push it from the back and then just put the other one in

You just pull the old one out and disconnect it. Keep the wires through the hold and pulg it back up to the new seitch.

P.S. Dont put the switch back in till you have it plugged up or you will have a fun time trying them plugged up.:cussing: :mad: I learned this the hard way.
