In the past, I havent liked lifted 2wd that much, but they are starting to grow on me. That Tahoe is the best looking lifted 2wd I have ever seen. I might have to talk one of my buddies into lifting his 2wd.... :D

thanks everybody for the compliments:D

Z71BOY- I have a 6inch pro comp suspension lift and 3 inch body lift

Y2kBoti- So far the lift is great ..havent had any problems yet

99GMC- ya they are the new BFG KM muds..the new sidewall tread looks aggressive

Tahoe Joe- Cut it off, Raised it up about 2.5 inches then welded it back on..its non fuctional now

Flatlander- 4 Wheel Parts did my install..i would have really liked to have done it myself but i didnt have the tools, time and lack of knowledge about lifting an IFS

Hey, Great truck!

I like the bumper mod. First one I saw with a lifted bumper on a SUV.

Can you tell some more details on the mod? What did you cut off? Where you able to use the PA bumper mod kit for the pickup trucks?

What do you mean by it not being functional now? Just for towing?

Thanks,

Christian.

i will take a pictue of it next chance i get and post it so u can see...you cant tow anything with the bumper..i have a tow hitch anyways..and also if i get rear ended it will be bad news..dont know about the PA bumper kit for trucks..i was told it doesnt work on SUVS..im not sure why i cant remember

I knew a guy that cut and lifted his bumper on his 2 door Tahoe. He actually did use it a little for towing, but I wouldnt recommend it. The shop that did it told him that it could handle a waverunner/jet-ski or johnboat trailer, but nothing any heavier than that. He did use to tow a johnboat trailer.

The rear bumper mounts differently on Tahoes (not sure about burbs) then Truck rear bumpers, so the rear bumper relocation bracket won't work on Tahoes.

Thanks. Looking forward to seeing the picture(s).

Got a hitch, too. Bumper would be to high to do any reasonable towing, anywas, so thats no problem...

Why do you think a rear impact woulb de more problematic? Are the new welds less strong? I could only think of the added height being problematic. Here in Germany there is only low cars. They'll probably go right through to my new $ 2500 14 Bolt! Better have a good insurance.

CHristian.
