Just got it today, and had it installed! First impressions are I LOVE the sound! Much better then the flow I had on before, it doesn't give me a headache and has a nice mellow sound to it. When you jump in it though it sounds mean:LOL: Original plans were too have 2 3/4" or 3" pipe ran from the cats back, but not one single shop in town said they could bend pipe that big. Is that a crock or what? So this will have to do for now, till I find a shop that can. Also, haven't decided to do with the other end, probably just dump it but we will see:D

Damn it, why'd you have to go and post that ;)

I started reading about those PVs one week after I had the flow installed on my Sierra and have heard nothing but good things about them since...next time!!

I just don't see how Flowmasters can actually give anybody headaches, mine still isn't loud enough and I have the Flowmaster 40's w/ no cats, maybe I am so used to the system going all the time I don't even notice the pipes, or maybe it is the fact that my first exhaust on this truck was true dual Glass packs w/ no cats..:rocking: :rocking: :rocking:

They ran it a little higher then I wanted but I like it. The truck is MUCH more quite now, at idle you can hardly tell it is running, but when you step on the gas the sound really picks up. I love it! I feel a slight SOTP on the low end, 0-60, can't really tell on the freeway though. Overall I am very happy!

I agree with Bigred 305. I have a 40series flow on my 5.3 with huge echo tips and it is still not loud enough.

This sounds just like me after the MagnaFlow install... I am so much happier to have gotten rid of the Flowmaster.

Do you watch your gas mileage? I always reset the odometer when I fill up and swear I get 50 more miles per tank after the new muffler. It would be interesting to see if you do also...

Funny thing with noise...

You REALLY notice when it goes away or gets really quiet.

For instance:

The hum of the tires...
The drone of the exhaust...
Whistle of the supercharger...
And the roar of WOT!

You know you got noise when you have to turn down the tunes to hear the wife or girlfriend ask you if you'd mind stopping at the next gas station so she can pee!

Nice Josh I like it. With the headers and Pv you have a complete system now. I kinda like the turn down look. I might get mine changed to that someday. The picture makes it look kinda close to the shock boot, is it?

I didn't get any extra mileage out of my magnaflow, but I did get performance and a tough sound. I might get better mileage but I can't keep my foot out of it

Nah, it's got about 2" of clearance from the boot, I should be fine. Thanks!:head:
