Well there are alot of companies that make lifts for your Tahoe. Fabtech, CST, ProComp and RCD just to name a few. To clear 33s you'll need atleast a 6" lift and they may still rub. The correct backspacing would cure that.

6 inches may be more than I wanted to go, what about 32 inch tires

3" of lift might be enough to clear 285/75-16's...maybe.

my 2wd tahoe has a Pro Comp 6 inch lift and a 3 inch body lift.i run 35inch tires and i get some rubbing off road..my front tires rub the fenders when the wheel is turned and i hit a hole. your best bet is to go with a 6" lift to clear 33s but like boti said you still may get some rubbing

those 285's look pretty sweet on your truck, and a 3 to 4 inch lift is what I am looking for, I really dont want to go to big, since it isnt a 4wd, thanks for the suggestion

If your looking for just a 4" lift then you may want to look at Ranchos 2WD lift.
