I got a bit of grinding dust into my paint a few months ago and I took it into the dealer to see if i could get a free buff and wax since it was under warranty but they wouldn't do it. Is there any easy way to get the metal deposits off of the surface of my paint easy? The metal is starting to rust and oxidize so i have lots of little dots on my bedrails and mostly roof of the truck. What can I do that isn't going to make things worse. I didn't want to wax or polish it and end up braking loose tiny pieces of metal that would stick to my pad and create metal swirls everywhere. Let me know if anyone has had the same problem.

Use a Claybar and it will all come right out.

I have never used a clay bar before, what exactly do you have to do? Is there any method that works best? Will it be ok on Black?

wash truck, squit real good with quick detail rub clay bar over area, move to next spot, squirt then rub bar, do whole truck top to bottom, go to car wash, rewax, got it?:D

Yup, that's just about covers it. :D The only thing it will do to black paint is make it look alot like a mirror. :burn:
