converting manual AC controls to automatic

Has anyone done this? I broke the passenger side temp slider thingy the other day. A replacment cost $120 and the Automatic temperature controls cost $190. I know i would have to get some other senders. Thank it will work?

oh, anyone have or can get a pic of the back side of there automatic temperature controls so i can compare?

I'd like to know also. Mine's not broke but I wanted the auto climate in my 04. If it's only $190 I'm going to get one.

a direct replacement would be too easy.

I still need to find time to go to the dealer and look at the back of one. I will need two other senders also. But as long as it has the same 2 plugs as the manual maybe another one for the other senders it shouldn't be a problem.
