Rear speakers

How do I get to the rear speakers in my truck? Its a '96 Chevy Silverado rcsb. One of my rears got blown so I will be replacing them soon. I looked back there but it look like I'll have to take out all the plastic. :( Someone help

Yepp, that is what you have to do. Take your time the clips break easy. You have to pull the center panel first. Then you can work you way to the out side panels. You might even think of eliminating the speakers and up grading the fronts to separates. You will get better sound quality. The rears are not reall needed.

Where would be a good place to pick up some of those clips just in case? Thanks for the quick reply

if theyre anything like the clips in my 96 gmc extended cab, you cant replace them
they break and youre SOL
or you could use some thin pieces of sheet metal and a lot of JB weld

Well I got the plastic off. No brken clips:head: But some plastic got broke:cussing: Oh well super glue works great. What are some good 4x6's to get? Or should i just scrap them and start saving for an amp and some good components?

i would not put any speakers in the back of a single cab truck
save your pennies and get some bad ass comps. for the front:head:
