Truckin magazine installed and dynoed JBA's on a 5.3L truck, they got 10 hp and 20.6 lb ft.. I was thinking of getting some Gibson shorties, very similar to JBA's in design, both 14g steel with 3/8" flanges. Let me know what you think of them please! Any problems with the installation, ie: stock flange bolts, manifold bolts, etc.? Did you use the gaskets included and RTV or get some copper gaskets? Thanks in advance!! Jim :cheer: My seat-o-meter is on the fritz, well truthfully I can't use it as it has been raining ever since the install. I'm not complaining because SE GA. needs rain so bad. The JBA header flanges and the GM manifold flanges are the same thickness so I recoated the GM bolts with anti-seize and reused them because they were longer than the JBA supplied bolts. I wanted as much thread as possible in the aluminum heads. Yes I used the included gaskets but wish I had had a new set of GM metal gaskets to use instead (you might want to get some before you do yours). I used high temp sealer where the passenger side donut flat surface seats on the collector flange and that is the only sealer I used. Let me know if you have any questions. Am going to dyno again this month and hope for some significant numbers to add to my sig. Installation was simple and everything lined up perfectly:wow: Y2K Silverado 03-02-2002, 04:55 PM My seat-o-meter is on the fritz, well truthfully I can't use it as it has been raining ever since the install.
