View Full Version : Speaking of swaybars...How 'bout a rear bar on a slammed truck?

I'm wanting to upgrade the swaybars on my truck. I want a larger front and a rear bar. I have 8" of drop on the back of my truck and everywhere I look they say the rear bars are only good for up to 4" of drop. What's up with that? Why won't they work with more than that? I've never heard of anyone with a dually or a Suburban with 6 or 8" out back having problems with their factory bar, so why can't an aftermarket bar work?

:D Thanks, but don't get too used to the look of it. It's having some major cosmetic surgery right now due to it being totalled about 6 weeks ago. I should have it back next week looking better than ever.

BTW: How long have you lived in Waco? You a native? I went to TSTC there for 2 years about 4 years ago. I hated the town. The best thing to do was cruise Baylor and stare at the hotties running around.

yup, going to TSTC and majoring in CNS w/ Cisco Specialization. Im not what you call Native, but I lived in a SMALL SMALL town 54 miles east of waco called Teague. Moved here in 97 and went to MCC and then decided to move to Houston and then to Nacogdoches AND then back to Waco to TSTC. Cant move anymore until I graduate next Spring which is a bummer. Waco is ok for me, but I would rather live in a bigger city. lol Yes I use to do that all the time until I got engaged! What did you go to TSTC for?

Later,

P.S. Cant wait to see the updates to the truck

I started at TSTC in Drafting, but they weren't teaching me much about architectural drafting, which is what I wanted to know. I then tried out some computer graphics major (can't remember the actual name of it), but the teachers over there were absolutely useless so I just quit and came home and took some classes at the local college. I'm still not sure what I want to do now. I'm also married now, so the Baylor cruising is out of the question. hehe

I hung out with a guy from Teague when I was down there. His name was David Walker. Had a cousin named Clay Walker. lol

I feel like I'm on a ride at Disney World. lol

Yeah, I met him once. He was digging a hole with SWB at the rear entrance to TSTC.

Not from Teague but I'm from Waco and I think Clay Walker is cool. I grew up in Waco and moved to Austin about 5 years ago. You're right about Waco, nothing to do but go watch a movie or cruise the "valley", are they still doing that? Oh, and I graduated from TSTC in '97! A.A.S. in CNS... really really small world!
