Streaks on my door windows...any info?

I have started to develop some nasty streaks, and almost like small scratches on the outsides of the door windows. From about 10 feet away it almost looks hazy. I am guessing it comes from the dirt that is trapped inside the felt liner of the weather stripping scratching the glass. Anyone else have this problem? If so how did you get it resolved? I have tried cleaning it and using Barkeepers Helper, and they are still there, so I know now that is more than just a dirty film. Now in my extreme scenario, I have full glass coverage on my insurance, so a few whacks with my trusty 5 iron and its all solved, but I would rather skip that route. Thanks for the help in advance.

Try cleaning out the felt liner thing to keep from any further problems. This may sound strange but, try chrome polish and polish the window. Sometimes it will remove some of the imperfections in a window. I saw this tip once on a Mother's Car Show Series. so give that a shot and see what happens. If not then try replacements. Breaking the glass is definatley a bad idea because you will find galss in your truck years from now. It's very difficult to get all of the glass out.
