Are you just wanting to paint it back to match the factory color or are you wanting to do more customer paint?

An airbrush or a paint gun would work great. I have had friends get their paint mixed and put in a 12oz. aerosol can to paint, that works ok, but you get a finer spray with a gun, it works a lot better. Whatever you can get a hold of would be just fine.

basically dose it just come down to the fact that the airbrush will take a lot longer to paint something than a paint gun?

yeah, an airbrush isnt going to have the spread a gun will. Airbrushes are for intracate details like flames or something of that nature but you can still use it. I think whatever you go with it will look killer once your done with it.

From what I've read on other posts, it seems like it's all in the prep work. Whatever you use, as long as you prep the surface well and smooth and polish when done, you should have good results. A lot of members on here use rattle cans to paint interior pieces. I figure I'd do that unless you already have a gun or airbrush handy. Good luck and this is just my $0.02.
