The Silver Lake Sand Dunes located on the shores of West Michigan offer one of the most unique experiences of the sand. It is the only sand dunes east of the Mississippi River that allow you to drive and explore them. That's right, you can actually drive a vehicle through these wonderful sand mountains. Trucks, SUVs, Dirt Bikes, ATVs, and Dune Buggies can all be found playing in the sand here at Silver Lake. But don't worry if you don't have your own vehicle to drive out there, because there are both Jeep and dune buggy rentals available here in Silver Lake.
Here at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes you can fill you need for excitement! You can fly across the flats that make an impromptu dragstrip to test your speed against the many others who have gathered there. Or you can go for some serious air time out in the steep hills section of the dunes. (Jumping in the dunes is dangerous, don't try it if you don't know what you're doing!)
