I love my BFG All-Terrain T/A. They look somewhat aggressive but don't cause alot of mileage loss.

Would you run these on a 2wd?

I plan on towing a boat and could use some extra traction on the boat ramp :D

love mine....45,000 miles w/ quite a bit of tread on them. I've lost count of the nails I've pulled out of them...

I had them once and for the most part was quite happy with them. Pretty good in the snow and ice. The only thing I found was the outside tread was not aggressive enough to get a good bite to get out of muddy ruts. Other wise they were great.

That didn't make a lick of sense.

I switched to the long trails for more street driving and dont ahve enough good things to say about BFG tires.

Sams owns everyone on tire prices.
Bad thing is everything they dont have in stock you pay in advance for then wait for it to come in.
Other than that I cant complain.

You got ripped. I got 4 285's with the works for $703. 265's were like 610 or something and I'd imagine 245's would have been a few over 5. Sears is one of the most expensive places. At least around here it is. I'm not very fond of their service either. Took my sister there to have one of her wheels balanced and they were trying to rip her off left and right. The stick on weight fell off of one of them and the guy was trying to tell her she needed to have all four redone. Luckily I overheard and chewed the ahole out a bit.

Hmmm,

My dad has a set of KOs in 285/75 on his 2000 Z71 and it has 56k on them right now with a solid 20k left. :cheer:

Thye are good street tires, but if you see mud I'd go KM or even MTR.

My dad always used them since the 80s on his trucks, I have some on my 2wd 3/4 ton Suburban, I think they're great if you do alot of highway travel and they've been good for me in the snow.

I have a set on my 2000 GMC. I'm really happy with the tread life, and the reasonable sound in the cab, but they are worthless in the snow. As much as I hate to say it my factory Firestone Wilderness' did better. I really, really hate saying that, because I have had BFG Radial T/A's on my 2wd trucks, and loved them. I will definately not be putting another set on. Seem to have a high rolling resistance too. Probably just since they are LT's?

i just put a set of BFG AT T/A KO's in 31" on my 97' 2wd. i love em!, i got em for 200 bucks off of a flooded truck with less than 1000 miles on them. fairly quiet, and way better looking than the lame michelin ltx or whatever was on my truck

I have an '89 K3500 with 245/75/16's on it currently. I'm thinking about putting new rims and tires on it. Does anyone know if the rims off of the newer 3/4 and 1 tons will fit and if so what size tires I could put on it? Are all 8 lug Chevy wheels interchangable? I heard 285's will fit without doing a lift but I might put a 3" lift on it too. Any recommendations?

I have a set of 33x13.5 R-16.5 on my 2001 Sierra 4x4 and they work great on the street, handle well in dirt, but they dont handle mud as well as i had hoped...also when they get in water i have problems too but they are a lil old....but I'm gettin new tires and love the look of the BFG Mud Terrains, they look sick! But i think i am gonna settle with a set of Nitto's...

I'm on my third set, just put new ones on my '97 ESCB Z71 on Saturday. I live in MN, so I can say with certainty that they are just fine in snow and ice, especially with all the siping. I've run them across lakes with over a foot of caked snow and ice without every getting stuck. They aren't much good in Mud, but that's not what they're for. I don't run mud tires due to the ice we get and the fact that I don't go mudding 'cause I hate breaking **** on purpose.

Today we got a record snowfall, up to 15" in parts, coupled with a solid inch of ice underneath everything. I didn't even need to put mine into 4wd and got through everything with no problems whatsoever. I have the locking rear diff and 3:73's, running 33x12.5x15 on a 15x8 rim.

They don't look as cool as others I was considering like the MT/R's or Toyo Open Country M/T's, but they were a lot cheaper and are quiet....so my wallet won this time.

I had that same problem when I had mine. I drive a 5spd manual, and when the streets were wet I had to almost stall out my truck at every stop to keep the tires from spinning out.

i hate my all terrains, when i go mudding in my jeep wrangler..33x12.50s they turn to slicks...the slef cleaning is terrible and for offroad use they just suck...for on road tho i cant complain....

I'm more than happy with mine. They shine on road as a winter tire mostly as they qualify as an extreme winter tire,
http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/COMM/images/snow_tire_symbol.gif
but fall on thier face in the mud.

I have never had an issue with them in wet weather, and my last set had 45,000mi on them.
