View Full Version : Bad Experience With Summit Racing!!

Hey guys just thought I would let you know about my recent expierence with summit. As some of you may know, I am lowering my truck 5/8. I am on a time limit, b/c I am on spring break. I ordered some ground force springs, second day air from summit. I received them today, and discovered they are for a S-10. Fortunately, I have an old set of belltech 2" springs, that I am going to use for now. I called summit they are going to refund my money including shipping back, although when I asked if they had the right springs they said they are a special order item and they couldn't get them for three weeks. The only reason I was going to order the summit springs instead of the DJM springs from stylin concepts is b/c summit could get them to me in two days. So now I am SOL for at least two weeks. Thanks for listening.

Yeah that kind of crap get sold here in Hawaii. That is why I will pick up the parts in L.A. I get there 3 times a year. I also like to see the other trucks at the shop while I am there.

I used to be totally loyal to Summit, but now JEGS see's ALL my orders.:read:

Summit got to big for their own good.:(

I have been dealing with summit for years, I only had one problem and they were quick to fix it, I even end up with a free part cause of their mistake...when I want to pay high prices and shipping...I will use jegs:tongue:

When I placed my first order from Jegs I was buying all my Hotchkis sh*t for my old GTA. (alot of $$$) I told them I was a loyal Summit guy, but they have since pissed me off. They guy in the phone said if I placed that order he would put me in for no shipping........I have neve payed since!:read:

I had one bad experience with summit a few years ago when I ordered a Jacobs ignition from them. they sent me the wrong one twice so I canceled and got it directly from Jacobs. I just ordered my Hotchkis springs from them (mainly b/c of the shipping charges) and so far the coils have been right and I should have the leafs tomorrow.

I live 20 miles from Summit's west coast store, and thier in store sales people are a joke. It's gotten so bad that I go online to the manufacture's sites and get part numbers, then call in my order. By passing the sales people completely.
Lately it seems that evrything has to come from their Ohio store.

well, in 454ss's/summit's defense, i have never had any problem with them. & i have dropped ALOT of coin on parts from summit!:thumbsup: :thumbsup:
