Well, we just finished testing the new B&M LS1 Holeshot converter on our B&M Converter Dyno. The specs are 10" diameter, 2400 stall (approx.), and a 2.0/2.1 STR. This should be a nice converter. On the converter dyno it flashed up to 3000 rpms on our 600hp dyno engine. With 230 input TQ, the converter put out (as I witnessed) 481 TQ ... about 2.1 STR. We are testing it out on my SS to see what it really will come out as, I believe it will be a 3000, just called a 2400 for marketing reasons. Much like PI does with theirs. Either way, I'll keep the online community posted. The feedback is always greatly appreciated and I will take it in to consideration. We will be testing out this weekend at LACR and CA Dragway. Our baseline times from LACR with the SS were:

60' = 2.10
1/8 ET = 8.94
1/8 MPH = 81
1/4 ET = 13.76
1/4 MPH = 101
DA = 4280'

Mods:
Factory Stock, except as follows
Hooker LTs & ORY
M/T ET Streets (26x10.5x16)
ET Streets were used to minimize tire spin for more consistent times

After this, I am going to have our converter guy make me a Holeshot 3000 and see what the difference is. The 2400 Holeshot converter can be seen at B&M's SEMA booth.

BTW: This converter will work on 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0 trucks with 4L60E transmissions. I may even be able to try it out on my Sierra.

on the 6.0 if youll chassis dyno it, youll find the torque peak ends @ 4000rpm.
and if you not going to tow with it, if youll grab about 3600flash and wrap the
STR 'bout 2.5
i installed a yank 3600 into a 2001 c1500 and it dropped .6sec on the 1/8mi
and .9 @ 1000ft. the 60ft dropped from 2.2 to 1.8 and with a DR 1.72. and now
hes wanting a higher stall and this is a stock truck. around here there are
alot of 3800, 4000, and 4200rpm stall LS1 fbody cars with low 60ft drops.
about that labeling... if its 2400.. call it a 2400. please this its a 2400,
but acts like stock, but flashes to 3000 is crap. if its 3000 call it 3000. just
my input... glad to here theres more comming out to play with

Well thank you for your input. :) I would love to have them build higher stall converters, maybe in the future, but for now we are concentrating on budget street/strip guys. There are plans to build nitrous converters that will allow higher flash stalls. I will do my best to have this thing labelled as a Holeshot 3000, I agree with you on the call one thing and it is actually something else (kind of like Precision Industries' Vigilante converters)
