I am stationed here (Hawaii) I am in the Marine Corps. I am getting medically discharged at the 1st of the year. Trying to find a job but the only kicker and demand I have is I grew up hunting ducks, deer and coon my whole life and I haven't had a hunting season in 3 years (between Iraq and living here) so the job I get has to allow me to be able to take time to hunt. As a matter of fact if I could get a job as a professional hunter I would.

you'd love it on my property! deer, ducks, geese everywhere! unfortunately, no coons... however they might be there but not aware of it since i dont hunt/look for coons...

I am on bridgeports website right now. Don't know what I could do with an Intelligence background but I would sweep the city streets if I could. Awsome property no doubt.

intelligence, eh?

there's 2 divisions of the FBI about 30 and 45 mins north of my home

btw - if you want lower property taxes just have 2 horses or cows on the property. they'll cut the grass for ya, etc.. only hassle is to feed hay over winter, thats it :naughty:

No kidding huh? just rub the salt a little harder in the wound. I am not kidding you don't know the lengths I would go to live on property like that. I have a buddy who lives in Hurricane WV and they go to Ohio to hunt coon.

What's making you want to sell such a sweet home, man? Is it paid off or anything? Just wondering, dude... That's one hell of a home to get rid of... Good luck... Wish I could take it off your hands...

Ah, crap... Sorry about that. Didn't read the rest of the thread (was still on the first page)...

Hawaii, huh? Just got back from 2 years there. Hated it.

Anyway, you're in the intelligence field? On which side of the state is your home located? Just wondering how long a commute would be to the DC or northern VA area. Or if you could just get an apartment there and commute back home during the weekends or something. Just a thought. Would hate to have you lose that home just because you can't find a job around there...

. that's for quackaddict - he's the one interested in the house.

As for myself. Yes, I am selling the house. Technically it's my parent's house not mine. My father retired from Verizon and is moving to Florida :banghead: Their new home is only 3 br, 2 car garage, and .75 acre. :banghead: If it was me, i'd never move out of that house - it's just too big for a couple since there's no nuclear family anymore. Imagine cleaning/maintaining a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2 living room house with full basement and 2 garages that can fit 2-3 cars. thats how big it is.

My parents only owe $55,000 on the house. They can easily pay it off if needed to...

a message for hunters looking for house/property in WV...

3 deer were shot/killed in 4 days here with 2 hunters on the property (just me and my dad). A total of 14 deer were sighted, plus alot more of what we didnt see. A fox was also sighted. Tons of squirrels, and geese flying overhead of the wooded area. However, i'd admit that no turkeys were sighted and there was no evidence of turkeys in the area. The last time turkeys were here was last spring.

In conclusion, it is still very rich in wildlife in the property.
