Dash boards

Is it possible to get a new better looking, like more retro looking dash to put in my '90 C1500 or what, I'm new to this deal....so just thought I would ask :).

newer, retro? Just take the dash out and fiberglass the dash how you want it to look. a lot of people glass their dashes and add guage pods, etc... then paint it.

I've been wondering, when you all talk about fiberglassing your dash, that makes it hard correct? Right now my dash (original) is slightly spongy and I like it that way, is there a fiberglassing technique that has the same type of spongy consistancy or is your only option hard? :think:

Fiberglassing will make it hard. You can dye/paint your dashboard. You can install one from another year of truck will require lots of fabbing and most likely fiberglassing or covering. Or you can make a complete custom one from scratch. Possibilities are endless. There used to be a sticky in the interior forums that shows a lot of custom interiors. Try and get some ideas there.
