Well I am going to be getting an NR Auto White Face Guage for my 1999 Silverado and I would also like to buy some white needles. I have been searching this site but I have found that you can scrape off the orange and paint them yourself, but I would rather not do this and keep my needles in case I mess up or something. So, I am looking for a site that would sell white needles, I am specifically looking for US SPeedo needles, but I can settle for different ones. Anyone know a good site? Thanks.

Which style you looking for? I have a set of 99-02 Denali white style ones I can sell you. They are brand new, I bought them to install on my other truck and ended up selling it.

look in my gallery i did my needles my self
all you have to do is scrape the orange stuff off that back of the actual needle and tape everything that you dont want painted. then spray any white paint on them. if you need to know anymore than ask, but instead of buying needles for x amount of dollars make you own for a few cents......

if yall are gna pay to have white needles from some1, i'll make them for you for free.... just send the needles wraped up nice and safe in either an envelope or a small box. pm me if you want it done, look in my gallery to see mine. and they wont glow a "pure" white. the actual lights that light the needles is kinda yellow anyways....

Swapping needles? I hear that is dangerous.

all you gta do is pull your needles off the little prong deal that it sits on and then take a razor blade and DRAG, not push, it across the back part to scrape the orange junk off. then if you want it blue or whatever color then tape the sides that face you when its installed off. also dont paint the part that receives the light from the back of the needle.....

Thanks for all your help. My truck is the NBS. I am thinking i might scrape off the white paint if it is that easy. I also want some blue LEDs to make it look badass like you were saying. IOs it hard to switch the blubs under the face. I have heard it might be a pain in the ass, but I really like the way blue LEDs look with white needles.

I had some extra needles and scrapped off the orange off them and painted them white. I loved the way they looked during the day but they didnt look to good at night, looked like a light brown ugly white color so I went back to my stock orange ones. If there is a way to make them look more white at night I would put them back in. I wonder if you put White or clear LEDs in the dash if they would glow white...?

i used sand paper to remove the orange. I used a pretty coarse grit so the back would be scuffed up enough to still light up at night. It gives the needles more of a white look during the day as opposed to a clear look.

Well, this is what I am going for with the blue LED's and white needles. This is off of Street Inspired Kustoms internet site. So I will be buying a nr auto white face gauge, blue LED's, and I will probably be scraping off the orange and paint the needles. Should I paint them white or keep them clear???

I think the color when lit has more to do w/ the color of the lights in the gauge panel than the needles themselves. I eventually want to get some red LED's for my guage cluster and clear my needles.
