Just wondering if anyone is going to the Bloomsdale, MO mud bash on January 1st? I have went the last couple times and it is awsome. They usually have rock crawling, tough truck challenge, and the mud bash.

I wish! The New Year's one is the best! That place gets rowdy for sure. I've been 3 times over the last couple years. But I won't be able to go this years since I'm going out of town for New Years. Have you ever been to Buchanon's Mud Fest in Robertsville? If you haven't, you need to the next time it comes around. It blows that one away in size. BigRedZ71 should be chiming in. He's a buddy of Jeremy.

I know exactly what you mean. There is always a lot of really nice lifted trucks there. The last time I went was the 2004 Spring Mud Bash and that was the first time I saw a set of the 49" Iroks in person and on a truck. It was the V10 Ford 4-door with cutout fender flares and it had "Size Doese Matter" on the tailgate.

I remember that truck! Should have seen the H2 at the last one get hung up and shell the front end! That was high quality entertainment!

Wish I could have saw that one, when I was there we saw a little Dakota get hung up on a stump on the dirt road in the parking area beside the mud pit, we all stood there pointing and laughing.

So, did any of you guys make it out there on the 1st. It was a heck of a good time. I left the little red truck in the parking lot so I didn't get drunk and do something stupid :) It was nice and muddy this time and the crowd was big and crazy as usual.

I was there. Good time. I wasnt to energetic about moving around that day. My a$$ was parking on the back of a truck in a lawn chair. What I could see from there was good enough! LOL.

I don't blame you, I was feeling pretty rough myself. Where were you guys parked at? We were in the back of an older white dodge power wagon parked right next to the fladbed trailers for most of the day. Until we took the powerwagon out into the mud.

Down front by the chain link fencing. I was in the back of a 2003 regular cab HD.

Well darn the luck I made it there after all! My New Year's plans of going out of town went to the dumpster. I got there about 9:30 and stayed till 3. It was a pretty good time. I was standing right besided an Explorer that had to be moved so the traffic could get through and a bunch of guys picked up the ass end of it and moved it over. That was hilarious. Poor Jeremy was all over the place trying to make things go. That big bad azz red and white Ford that's always there broke as soon as he got in the mud pit when he backed over a log and tore his front end up. That sucked. Matt Ferris' old orange and white Ford was really chewing it up. Did you guys see that kid take that brand new HD in there? No lift or anything. Prolly his dad's. That crew cab Dakota drove in too and went straight down. Needless to say there was a lot clunking going on when he was trying to get out. I had a lot of fun in the parking lot before and after!

Matt Ferris's old orange Ford was tearing it up. He sold it to the guy that owns Gardiners towing or whatever it is. That white NBS short bed chevy with the 2 1/2 ton rockwells was badass. He didn't do to much in the mud, but I don't blame him with a truck that nice. We all had a good time, got there around 10 and stayed till dark. I have been to Bucannans the last two times he has had it and its alot of fun also, don't know when the next one is though.

I was there all day on the 1st. There was about 15 of us that went together. We took 2 dodges down there on trailers. One was a army green ram charger with a white star on the side and the other was a white flat bed dodge with super swampers. My buddy was the one that won the keg toss. We were all pretty wasted and had a good time BBQing after the green dodge's steering broke and we couldn't get it started again.

We will all have to meet up for the next one, should be around the middle of April. If all goes right, should have the beater mud truck down there too (84' dodge powerwagon on boggers).

How far down in Missouri is all this? I go to school about a hour north of Quincy, IL. I thought about going to school at Truman State, but thier ag program was pathetic. How far of a drive would it be from Quincy or Truman State?

It's probably a little less than an hour south of St. Louis on Hwy. 55.

That still would be a pretty far drive from where school is at.
