so here is my idea. I'm wanting to get close to 10" of lift w/o doing a body lift or getting into some high dollar kit. My idea is this start with the procomp 7" 2wd kit, which is this:

99-04 Chevrolet Silverado 2WD 7" Lift Includes; Front Cross Member, Rear Cross Member, Compression Strut Mounts, Front Knuckles, Compression Struts, Bumpstop Extensions, Crossmember Braces, Rear Add-A-Leafs, Grade 8 Hardware Throughout, 4 ES3000 Shocks

and then add either fabtech or CST coils up front to get me to around 10" of lift. My only question is how do I bring the rear up to hieight? I dont want to be sagging ass. Looks like the rear is lifted with add a leaf, so should I just slap a 3" block in there?

I didn't know pro comp even made a 7" kit for the nbs silverados. But if they do, the pro comp kit should come with longer coils already... that are about 7" longer than stock. The pro comp coils will tower over the 3" fabtech or cst coils. So, adding a 3" fabtech or cst coil won't even work.

There is nothing wrong with a body lift. It's a cheap way to get 3 more inches. They don't even look that bad on nbs trucks, especially if you get the gap guards. The rear hitch doesn't even hang down that low either.

If you insist on suspension lifts only, your best bet would be to add a 1 or 2" spacer on top of the pro comp coil.. and then add a good upper arm to correct the angle. This will cost around $500, though and you'll only get 2-3" of lift. After it sags, you'll get even less. A body lift is $200 cheaper and will never sag.

Cognito also makes a 7-9" kit. It drops the lower arms down 7", and adds a coil-over and upper arms. If you crank the coil-over up 2", you could have a solid 9" of lift that won't sag. It's a great kit, but expensive.

What size tires do you want to run?

procomp kits runs stock springs I believe. Read the parts list, its a drop down cage knuckle lift, no springs are listed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but thats just the way I'm reading it, I'll call to make sure.

there are springs, if you want a 10" kit buy mine, I will sell it to you cheap, how much were you looking at spending.

I could take the spindles off mine and then you would be at 10-12" lift, and I have leaf springs for the rear
