Are you asking about the fglass process itself or how to prep the fglass for paint? Basically get some 200 grit paper to get the rough dips out of the fglass, then use some type of filler (Bondo can be used or similar product). Sand smooth with first some 200 then do a fine sanding with something like 500-800 or so. Primer then paint the base coat and sand maybe 2 times with 800 grit and then shoot the clear coat. If you want to skip the first sanding before primer, then use a high build primer commonly used in auto prepping. Then continue from there. Also you can use what is known as a "stage 1" paint that does not require a separate step for clear coating. Just shoot as normal then sand 2-3 times to get a nice gloss.

for paint, wetsanding as a final stage will prep the nicest finish. not sure what those links say. all i saw was fiberglass and paint. if it's your first project I wouldn't suggest paint. you'll find out how imperfect it is right after you paint it.

I would not waste my money on that DVD, you could learn just about everything from his forum on the website, and other websites too on fiberglassing.Plus his other fglass supplies he sells are way overpriced too, like his resins and laying supplies. Forget that DVD and spend you money on better supplies.
