there is dirt and crap on my buttons like in the cracks over the years...

whats the best way to get em clean?

also im taking the words/writing off of the buttons, whats the best way to do this minus using a razor blade and scrapping

Maybe something strong like purple power? what buttons are you talking about?

mainly the light switch, the dimmer control, umm the ac buttons

I always just use the armor cleaning wipes...by using your fingernail you can jam it into the cracks along the buttons. I find that works well enough to remove the most unsightly stuff.

look for this stuff called "tuff stuff". You can get it at autozone/advanced. It is mostly a carpet cleaner, but will clean ANYTHING!. It foams up when you spray it, so when I cleaned my dash and controls I just sprayed it on a rag and went to town. You can use an old toothbrush to get into the creveses, you don't notice how dirty they are until you clean them, I know I did!
