man this fuggin truck gives me so much **** its a wonder i havent sold it yet. ok. on my lift i mounted my wheels on it and drove it less than 2 miles by the time i got back to my friend house the wheels had tucked all the way in the fender well. the upper control arm had slid all the way backwards on the adjusting cams causing the tires to have severe negative camber? i think it the camber but i am not sure ,anyways. we jacked it back up loosed the uca bolts pulled out on the top of the wheel got it where it was supposed to sit at again retightened the bolts to 120ft lb drove it another 2 miles, when we returned we found it happened again but this time it didnt slip as bad. i read the haynes manual it says them things supposed to be at 140 ft lb. you think the 20lb could let it slip like this? i didnt have time to retry it because i had to take my friend to work n ****. i dont want to drive it much i have 8 miles on it tops. the toe in toe out is also off becuase the drive side tie rod is cranked out a tad too far. on the uca adjustment tabs the instructions had told me to remove the plastic inserts when i put the new arms in am i supposed to have new ones or what? it seems like they might help hold the things from slipping. besides this slight problem and the shocks needing to go in the front is done. anyone know any tricks or tips to get these freeking shocks on? i tried everything i can think of. i have them tied completly collapsed with a wire while i was trying it.

Well the truck looks good so far man. You're almost there!

Are you running an aftermarket upper a-arm? And what plastic tabs are you talking about? Do you have alignment washers installed? Did you install the bushings with your new upper arm if you have a new upper arm?

If your bushings are in, your alignment washers are on, and everything is nice and tight, I would suggest that you go take it in and have a good alignment done. They'll adjust your tie rods and tell you if you're missing anything where the upper a arm is.

Good luck, it's looking good so far.

Oh yeah, what shocks do you have? The shocks should be very easy to install. It would probably be easier to bolt the top side of the shock first, onto the top of the coil bucket, and then pull the shock body down (extend it) until it lines up with the holes on the lower control arm.

I can't remember, but you might have to install the shocks when you put the coils on. Unless you can slide it up inside the coil from under the lower a arm.

that is what it seems but everywhere i have read it says to just slide it str8 up in after everything is installed. this is what the fabtech 3" coil/ control arm says to do, the cst kit instructions the full force instructions and the haynes manual. just cant get it to go

Well if thats what the instructions say, then I'm sure it should work somehow. Where is the shock not clearing? Like.. is the lower shock mount in the way? Or can you get most of the shock up inside the coil, but because of the angle, you can't get the whole shock up inside?

Like, what is in the way? It's been 2 years since I had a lifted 2wd and I can't remember exactly.

their are a pain the shocks should go right in from underneath just make sur they are fully extended when you do it
btw nice truck

because of the angle it wont go in it hits the sides of the coil and the bottom stays wedged against the lower shock mount. so pretty much both of what you said.

make sure the shock is fully extended or the spring is with the arm at full droop?

I think he means shocks.

It might be easier if you jack the truck up, and let the front end droop. The coils won't bow out so much, and you'll have a straighter angle to work with.

Are you sure these shocks are the right length? Did they send you ones that were too long?

fully compressed they are the exact same length as the stock ones fully compressed. i dont know why the hell they wont go in.
