interior comments please

started the interior of my truck and just want some opinions of the headliner and overhead console...

wanted to add that it is more of a deep burgandy/ reddish color than the "pinkish" it looks in the picture

Hah looks cool. I always thought it was tight when people did the whole interior in crushed velvet. I'd do the painted/smoothed look myself, but its cool none the less. Looks like you did a good job recovering everything. Have pics of the rest of the interior?

Just my opinion, but Crushed velvet should be in 64 impala's sitting on 15in Gold Daytons.

those are just sittin on the counter just dying to be installed :cheer: but seriously the interior should be 1/2 way done by next sunday and i'll put up more pics... My buddy and my g/f are in charge of the interior all themselves while i get the suspension in order....

i wish i still had the headliner pic of the 5 grand cash in a '76 olds or buick w/ the mini-chandileer hanging from it still from a local crack-head/drug dealer's car....

...but yea i've seen some entirely crush interiors that actually looked pretty good and at least you went through the effort to customize ur headliner cus those plastic clips especially from the rear window piece suck!

Anyone here remember when Airwalk shoes made crushed velvet shoes? Black and Red were sold here. And yes I had the red ones but, I am with LyaecZ71 I do the painted smooth look myself but it all depends on your crowd and area.

I have seen this done in person and I have helped my friend do it on his 84 Cadillac Fleetwood. It is not the easiest thing to do, so Kmkalf, it looks great. You definatly need patience to do it. Was it tough to get the whole hearliner out? I am going to recover mine in black and I dont have the center console so it shouldnt be too bad.
