My buddy is going to help me put on the 4" spindle lift tomorrow. I plan on putting on a 3" body lift as well. Can I run a 33x12.5 on a 15x8 rim with just the 4" lift until I can get the body lift put on? Will it really rub that bad? (It will only be for a couple weeks.)

You should be fine. You might rub making u-turns or pulling into driveways, but you'll be ok for normal street driving.

OBS trucks/tahoes fit slightly larger tires than the NBS's.

What kind of 33x12.50 are you going to run? Depending on how true it is to size I wouldn't do it. I have a 4" spindle lift and 3" BL on my 97 Silverado and it rubs pulling into driveways now w/ both. I also have 10" wide rims w/ 4" of backspacing. It rubs on the back of the fender and I had to trim about an inch or two off of the front bumper and air dam. You will be better with 15x8s but its still gonna rub pretty good w/ just 4"s trust me. You might tear up your tires and your inner fender w/o both the 4 and 3. I'd just wait and do it all at once you will be much more satisfied.

why wait a couple of weeks to put the body lift on? it only takes about 6-8 hours on the tahoes (took me 6-7 hours installing mine).

I'm using a 15x8 wheel. There is a member here rjwms(?) that is/was running a 4 1/2 spindle and 33's. The reason why I don't think I can do both at the same time is a matter of scheduling.
