Well it looks like I'm gonna have to get a guy to do this work for me. Been doing the work for a while, recently opened a shop at his home. He's quoted me some what I think are great prices after reading around a bit here... but I'm wondering how long it would take. He's never done a FSC. He's done several S10's, and that before, and after I showed him a few pictures of the pocket, notches, and everything he thinks it should go pretty smoothly.
So he was wondering how long you the FSC guys are takin for a complete install . spindles and cups up front, notched for tie rods and weld on 4 link in the back. i'd get him to plumb everything aswell.

It can be done is a really really busy weekend. Most shops will request a truck for at least a week.

Before I did this full time, I used to do bag installs in a weekend. I would have the customer bring the truck over after he got off work on friday, then come back sunday night to pick it up. Then when I went full time, I would want a full week, including a weekend. Now with my busy mail order schedule, it is a little longer. I hear horror stories of people's cars being out for 2-3 months, and there is no excuse for that for a bag install only. Even with me having to contend with my mail order business, and shows on the weekends, I am still at 3-4 weeks tops for a real custom job.
If it is just a normal job, nothing special, he should be able to knock it out in a week. A friend of mine paid a local shop a stupid amount of money, all up front, and it ended up taking them 2 months to get it done. It was rediculous.

mawhille will tell ya only 20 hours...:read:
3-4 busy days should do it...depending upon what components you use.
I would say a minimum of 4 full days.
On a NBS truck, I'd say 2 full days or a good weekend. On OBS trucks, ( I think require a lil more work) 3-4 days.
