I am planning to do a 3/4 drop, I was wondering what a reasonable price would be to get it done at a shop? I live on the SE side of Houston, so any suggestions as to where would be great. thanks in advance

I live on the SE side of Houston, so any suggestions as to where would be great. thanks in advance ridin2slow 02-01-2005, 03:06 AM i just picked up my beltech kit off of ebay for $250 shipped, but expect to pay an arm and a leg for install, the front is cake work, but the back is where they are going to get you, im paying $400 but thats also with a 4 wheel alignment, i knew if i didnt have it done then that i probably would put it off and say "F**K IT!!!!" SICKT7 02-01-2005, 09:04 AM It's going to depend on how you want to lower it. The best kit will include spindles or drop lca's. DJM, McGaughy's, and belltech make great kits. If you've got a NBS, don't get the belltech spindles or your turning radius will go to pot. McGaughy's spindles are the best on the market. DJM prolly makes the best LCA's. Expect to pay between 300-400 for a kit like those. If you want to do the budget route like I did, you can go springs up front and a shackle/hanger kit out back. Cost around 250. I've got the McGaughy's 2/4 kit for my 03 and I think it rides great. Didn't notice a difference over stock in the ride characteristic. Install will depend on your mechanical ability and especially the tools you have or don't have. Like mentioned, the front is relatively easy, hardest part is the ball joints. The rear is time consuming to do the hangers. You've gotta cut off the rivets holding the stockers on. If you have air tools, it will be a lot simpler. Use an air chisel and pop those suckers off there. Makes it easier if you lower the gas tank too to move it over for easier access. Shackles will take you about 45 minutes and are a piece of cake.
