Hello,
My name is Chris. I just sold my 2000 F150 with a 3"spindle and 285's and on Sunday just purchased a red 2005 Crew cab 1500 2wd. I absolutley love it but it is soooooo low. I would like a 4" spindle but a shop close to me only installs the 3" Fabtech. Can I fit 285/75/R16 all terrains like Dunlops on my truck? I really like that size tire but I am not sure if the 285's will fit on the 3" spindle lift. I appreaciate your thoughts. Thanks, Chris
Attached is a pic of the new truck

Just go for the 4" spindle. CST and Full Force make 4" spindles, and you'll easily clear those 285s. I'm not sure where Costa Mesa is, but if it's anywhere near LA, I suggest you find a shop who will install the 4" spindle for you. Spindles are spindles... any suspension/4x4 shop can install a spindle.

I just put 4" spindles on my truck. Yesterday I went to get an alignment..ended up putting 285's on it. Had to do very little trimming for them. You will also need to get new wheels.

Sweet looking truck. Looks tall.
Do you think the 285's will fit on the 3" spindle. I don't mind trimming the air dam.
Will 16X8 wheels fit ok with the spindle lift.
Thx

you going to want 16x8's, should be able to fit 285's, might have to chop a little on the inner fender as well

what shop, my buddies shop in anaheim will hook you up with whatever lift you want, if you want to do something simple like a 7" fabtech or CST let me know, i can help out with that install in a driveway
BTW if its an 05 you may need a 17" wheel to clear the rotors just make sure no more than 4.5" Backspacing on the wheel

that truck might be t-bars, late in 04 they started t-bars instead of coil springs so the fabtech crossmember kit might not work..

Its coils BTW.
I found a shop in Anaheim, Ca (Robby Gordon Off Road) and I am having them install a 4" CST with a 2" rear block and 285 Pro Comp tires. He said they install this lift all day long and rarely any trimming is ever needed. On Muds yes but conservative all terrains clear nicely he said. Its about $1000 with schocks installed and rims and tires are $1100 out the door. I want the Alcoa style wheel in and American Eagle wheel. Should look sick when its done. I just need my tax return.
