thought this would be a good place for it since it has to do with compressors and pressure switch.
the other day i was ridin around honkin my air horn and for whatever reason the compressor(viair 450) wouldnt turn on when the pressure dropped below 90psi.. so im thinkin ok mabe just the fuse..or the relay or something small...so i dig in today and take out the tank and stuff..well in the tank there is some water..I dont have a water seperator..and i have a 5 gallon 8 port tank with the bottom port connected to the compressor...so that means i think the water might have gotten into the compressor line and in to the motor...but the weird thing is the compressor still works...the problem i think now is the pressure switch...because i just bypassed it and the comp seems to be working fine...i have an adjustable pressure switch from suicicidedoors.com and its wierd to think that the pressure switch could screw up...this isnt common is it? oh and is it bad to have the compressor upside down and having the hose off the compressor running into the bottom of the tank. I think i need help.. :cussing: ohh and one more thing...the compressor seems like it makes a different noise now..(like its F'ed up) would it make a different sound the more pressure in the tank...like more strain or something.
thanks
