Buy a KP dropped x-member, it's $150 and saves you hours of time.

well i already section my stock one, took about an hour totol, just not completly done......hey your truck lays out on 22's right what size notch did you use? whats the measurement from the bottom of the stock frame to the bottom of the notch(where the bump stop is)? is 8" enough clearance to lay out a 29" tire?
Cut the mount flush with the frame and cover the outside edges of what's left of the stocker with atleast 3/16" plate and the bottom of the cut mount as well.
Kinda like this.

02 -- My notch isn't huge on my truck, it's about an 1" or so off the stock frame. Nothing major, and it clears no problem. I guess I could measure my notch, but I built it myself out of 3X3 tubing, and I don't think it's 8", but I could be wrong.
