I first bagged the front of the truck 2 weeks ago. Since then i have destroyed the following:

Water trap exploded
First York threw a rod
Second York fragged and parts took out half the engine harness, and a coil
Third York was put on last night...no probs from it...yet
Blew a bag this morning

Im starting to wonder if its actually worth it. How is it that i have had more issues than most people i know that have had bagged trucks for years? Im thinking of just static dropping it and getting an older chevy to bag to drive everynow and then.

What pressure are you running? What oil are you using?

Im running 175 PSI and using the PAG oil that comes in it. I think what happened to the water trap was it was too close to the compressor and when i was working it hard it just blew the trap.

Drain that oil! That is what is used when they were air conditioners in a past life. Use strait 30W non detergent. If you have an SC 209 you will need about 12oz. if you have the 210 it should be about 15oz. Most traps can handle 200psi.

If you have any friends that know about bags have them go over your install with you and check everything out. The install is the most important part of a proper air suspension

Werd to mad mike's comment. The install is critical if you don't double check things, or know exactly what you are doing things will fail, ask user Mawmille. I took on bagging my truck with my dad, first timer, I got everything right but it took a month long of work making sure everything was just right, I too have had those feelings is it worth it.

is the bag rubbing anywhere? was enough notched out of the front if it was up front that it blew? and change that oil!

Something I learned from my first bagged truck was to take your time and make sure everything is right. The first truck I did, I just simply didn't have all the money to do it 100% right, it was a nice set up but it could have been so much better. On the York, the oil it come with is really thin and runs out of your line are will reside in your water trap. Last time I cleaned mine, it was about a week after use and it was about a 1/4 full of oil. I'm slowly getting the ester oil replace with actual compressor oil. On the bag, I'd say check the bumpstop mount, that's probably your culprit. Do you have any pics of your set up, or just of your truck. If so, could you post them up?

There was one spot on the ex-bump stop that was barely rubbing. We went ahead and cut that out. The bag has a very small hole in it. Still have not done changed the oil yet in the compressor though. Oh yeah, the person that helped me, has many trucks under his belt...I guess it was just my bad luck at play here.

That compressor is gonna tear itself up unless you change that oil ASAP!
