View Full Version : Mirror Dripping

What is the best way to get all the water out of the mirrors after washing your truck. I normally use a air hose as well as a vaccum and it still drips. I hate going somewhere and having all the water drips all over the doors. After a quick spin around the block, that normally takes care of it. Is there something else I can do?

Drill a small hole under the mirror body, all the water will drip out as your washing your truck.

Matt,
Where on the bottom of the base did you drill your hole in proximity to the hole that is already there? I've thought about drilling another hoel, but want to make sure I hit the cavity that's holding all that water.

Hum! not sure now that I look at your truck we have different mirrors, I did it to the street scene and the factory ss mirrors.

I got one of those the only problem is that unburnt oil spews out the muffler.:D :D :D

Couple of things you can do...Aircompressor works awesome:D or just blow it out. I normally just take my truck around the block once and that works good also. Leaf blowers is another way.

Thought I was the only one that had that problem. I always take a quick spin around the block and it takes care of that and the water on the rims, that and I collapse the mirror and slam it back into place a few times, that helps alot.

i just don't move the truck for a day. then when i get up in the morning there's dew on the windows and i have to back over them anyway. ahhh, the life of owning a fullsize:thumbup:
