I have a 97 Gmc with a 350 and i i cut off the stock mufflers and put straights out the back it came stock with 2 cats i was wondering if i can cut the cats out and relocate the o2 sensors and replace them with glass packs so its not as loud as true straights...im wondering if i would have any trouble after relocating my o2 sensors because a few friends have done it and they have been havin no trouble :fire:

welcome to the forum,
cat removal will only effect the rear HO2S functions. youll get rear HO2S
codes. you can either purchase HO2S simulators to bypass the problem or
have the computer reprogrammer (custom) to do the same.
ive seen the best results on vortec is to have the 2.5 pipes into a single
muffler with a 3" outlet... the duals has a tendency to pull torque from the
lowend side.

its a crap shoot. you may get a code, you may not. i have no cat, but the o2 is in the same place. and larger pipe. i get no code at all.
