its a radio thing, and its broadcast over satellites, there probably arent any commercials(there arent any for sirius) um probably a monthly fee. my HU is sirius satellite ready, so in november ill be able to get sirius radio, so no commercials or anything but it costs like $10 a month, i dont listen to radio enuf to pay that much. but i think xm is only for sony HU, or ive just seen it for sony could be for others, maybe panasonic too, cant remember. sirius is for kenwoods i know, maybe something else also.

pioneer and alpine are going with XM, I would go with XM over sirius, just seems to be a better plan to me.

yeah what he said, i didnt get my kenwood for sirius, i got it for mp3 and it looks cool

:cool: You have the Z828 HU. I love that HU but a little pricey $$$. Does Sirus have a website?

there is a really good article on satellite radio in Popular Science. I think it's this month's issue. Here's a link for Sirius:http://www.siriusradio.com/detect_flash/index_flash.htm. And here's a link for XM:http://www.xmradio.com/home.html. It's gonna be really nice. I'm siriusly considering getting a new receiver to upgrade to satellite. Later...

I haven't looked into the satellite radio that much. But I am definately interested. Sounds like a good idea. I'll probably wait a little and see what people say about it, you know read some reviews.

I have seen and heard an XM radio and it has a awesome sound it is like listening to a CD....

Yeah XM had a display at the race in Phoenix this past weekend. Looks like they have a nice product.

i just don't know if it worth it yet to me. i listen to cd's anyway cause there's never a good song on the radio when i get in my truck so it would just be weird listening to the radio. plus i don't have an extra 250 to invest for it plus 10 bucks a month. for 250 more bucks i can probably complete my system minus the sub box.
