so im going to change my muffler to a flow 40 soon ,and im looking for a way to find out the size of the pipes on my 95 1500 with a 305 v8. is there any EASY way to do this without taking off the muffler and measuring? the cat back isnt stock , but looks to be very close to stock diameter ...

what is stock diameter anyway ? thanks

use a tape measurer:think::shrug:

probably 2.25 w/ the 305, but not for certain

I'm thinking it was 2.5 on my bros. 92 but maybe 2.5 was a slip fit, I can't remember.

I want to say it is even bigger than that. I know the convertor on those years is 3".

Wrap a tape measurer around it and divide that number by pi.

My converter looks like 3.5 or 4 inch but then it steps down to 2.75 or 3 where the flange is that bolts up to the rest of the exhaust.
