03 5.3 with hypertech

03 avalanche with hypertech, I set the rev limiter at 6000 and it revs to that but then hits the rev limiter and won't shift until you let off it alittle. I tried bringing the rev limiter to 5800 but it still does the same thing :cussing: you guys have this problem?

I never had an issue w/ my 02, but i had a SPE Proflash.

not to many ppl on here are fans of hypertech, as such the name for it dubbed : hyperping

but what about your other settings, would any of those also affect this issue you are having:think:

you're just going to have to tinker with it. look at GMCJOE's settings...those are a good starting point

usually when i had to tweak with one of those h-guys tuner id use:
rev 6200
shift point:
1-2 + 2
2-3 + 3
3-4 + 5
thatd keep it off the limiter... the limiter is a fuel shut off... so this means
a lean out (bad..very bad) especailly on forced induction or nitrous oxide.

yep, I started with the limiter at 6K and was hitting it as well. I've had it at 6200 for about 100K miles now :burn:

Speaking of my settings, AIRDEANO, can you make any recommendation? I doubt mine are optimally set, I just got those from Josh years ago ran with them.
