My buckshots are about worn out and i want and aggressive looking tire that will last me the longest. I really like the thornbirds, but ive only heard they wear out quickly with only about a 20k mile life. Any suggestions for the mud tire with the longest life?????

what size are you running. I would personaly go with either the BFG MT's Baja Claws, or the Toyo MT's. I wouldn't recomend the thornbird either. the look cool as hell but they aren't worth a ****. Bro-in-law had them on his 90 chevy and in one week had to have three of them replace due to quarter sized hole from driving down the dirt road to their house.

thornbirds = **** to 90% of the people that talk about mud tires.
I would go BFG MT or Toyo MT for a long lasting good riding mud tire.

All of the Swampers have very soft tread. They are great in the mud but do wear quickly. If you want extremely aggressive mud tires I would try Denman Ground Hawgs. They are great in the mud and last longer than swampers...

Go and look at some Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers...
Self cleaning treads, very cheap, longlasting. Good on and off road.
Dunlop is owned nowadays by Goodyear and Sumitomo.
I have 305-70-R16s mounted on American Racing 8 lug rims on my 4x4 3/4 ton Sub (HD X-FDNY Battalion Chief's Truck).
Dunlops cost only 137 samolians each, v. good in HEAVY MUD and have a good replacement warranty. I had to ask myself why spend 250 buck per tire when I mud them out anyway.
These just look very plain jane, 'old school', and the tread design has probably been around since I had my Blazer in the 70-s... so that you're not paying through the nose for new tooling at the plant.
IMHO, here in New Mexico... they work great, probably on a par with BFGs.
Keep the Shiny side up!

I've got some Mud Rovers on my Jeep. They are a great tire. Not an all out mud tire like the Swampers or Hawgs but good. Mine were only $100 bucks a piece at Sams.
